I think that it is important to know about standard of living because it helps to compare countries and see where there are and what they need help to improve. If a country is underdeveloped, it is good to know because then other countries who aren’t struggling, could help them improve their standard of living. Economics and standard of living can be analyzed by using the five themes of geography. An example of this would be economic activity, from economic concepts, and places, from the five themes of geography. These can be analyzed because economic activity is the items that can be produced with the resources that you have where you live. The five themes of geography help to analyze the world by showing how people interact with other people and the environment and the patterns that they show. I think this because all of the themes show what people have in common and what landforms have in common. For example, the exact coordinates of Boston Massachusetts are 42.36008°, -71.05888°. This shows theme and how people interact because it shows relative location and where this specific location is. Another example is Sydney Australia which has many human features and some of them are the opera house, sydney harbor bridge, and many beaches. This shows theme because all of the examples describe what the area is like. A different example is that China exports $385 Billion of goods to the United States. While learning the basic map skills I found many things that were both easy and challenging. One thing that I found easy while doing basic map skills was compass rose because I already knew how to use one so it was mostly just review.  I also found continents and oceans easy because just like the compass rose, I had some background knowledge in that particular topic. The last thing that was easy was the key because it was pretty self explanatory, all you had to do was put the things that you had on your map in a section so that people understood what was what on your map. Something that was more difficult was challenging was longitude and latitude. I struggled with this especially on my project when I had to find specific coordinates and then match it up with another coordinate that was almost exactly the same, and I also had to find out which way the lines were going on my map.
